Our Club Captains
Sophie
Club Captain 2024
"I have been at the club for 5 years now. I am a dedicated and friendly person. I train all sessions, volunteer with coaching, and regularly compete in competitions.

My favourite events are long distance, and I have represented the club at County Championships in the 800m freestyle, 1500m freestyle, and 400 IM.

I am proud to be part of this great club and to lead the team as Club Captain.

Outside of swimming, I am a keen netballer, enjoy watching Formula 1, and listening to rock and indie music."
Luke
Club Captain 2024
"I joined LSC in 2021, so I started competitive swimming quite late. I had always enjoyed swimming and was encouraged by my teacher to join a club.

My favourite strokes are butterfly and freestyle, and I tend to swim the shorter events such as 50 and 100 metres. I enjoy training, and you will soon see your strokes improve; your fitness and stamina will get better, and your times will come tumbling down!

For me, the bit I enjoy most is the atmosphere at competitions - it's hard to beat. With the help of the coaches, I have become a better swimmer and learned a lot about myself, about keeping fit, discipline, and hard work.

As one of the older swimmers, I now enjoy helping others, and I cannot recommend LSC enough."
