The West Midlands Regional Championships has come to a close, with our swimmers completing their final races on the last day of competition. Our athletes have gained invaluable experience and achieved several lifetime personal bests while competing against the region's fastest swimmers.
Congratulations to Sophie S, Poppy, Evie, Freya, Neave, and Seb on qualifying and competing at this prestigious level—you should all be incredibly proud of your accomplishments.
Sunday's Performances
Seb competed in the 50m Breaststroke, his second event at his first Regional Championships. He demonstrated great confidence in his swim, gaining valuable experience at this higher level of competition. Seb handled the pressure of the occasion brilliantly, and this experience will be invaluable for his future development.
Poppy concluded her Regional Championships campaign with a strong performance in the highly competitive 50m Freestyle. She delivered a confident swim, holding her own against tough competition. Her weekend of determined racing adds to her already extensive experience at higher-level competitions.
Neave completed her championship with an excellent performance in the 50m Freestyle. Building on her outstanding breaststroke results from earlier in the competition, Neave demonstrated her versatility and determination. Her championship featured lifetime bests, finals appearances, and consistently strong performances throughout the past fortnight.
Congratulations to all our swimmers on their achievements at this year's West Midlands Regional Championships!
